White claw crabs can take some time to acclimatize to new surroundings. It may take several days to weeks to get used to the new environment. 3 to 7 days is a normal hiding period but sometimes it may take more than 2 weeks for them to fully acclimatize.
Note: It is normal to spend more time in borrows during molting period.
